Chronically ill persons under curfew

The crisis cell in the north and east of Syria is seeking all its potential to prevent the coronavirus from emergence in the region and provides service to the people of the region, despite its limited potential. 

The crisis cell, which was formed in the north and east of Syria Syria on March 15 takes into account the critical humanitarian conditions, chronic diseases, including a woman in her 70s and her daughter in the third decade, who are suffering from cancer, residents of Qamishlo, who need regular doses at Al-Bairuni Hospital in the Syrian capital Damascus.

On April 7, the family came from the Syrian capital Damascus, along with a group of civilians who were all examined and brought to a  quarantine center after the announcing the curfew on March 23, and due to the situation of the elderly woman and her daughter and their need for continuous healthcare, they were placed in a quarantine with her only son who accompanied to the Syrian capital Damascus. 

Every day, a medical team from the crisis cell visits the elderly woman's home for kit tests to check their health.

The medical team explained that they are tested daily to check their health status. It also indicated that the tests would last for 14 days, the incubation period of the virus.

The family thanked the efforts of the crisis cell and the medical staff who conduct daily checks on them to ensure their safety. 

The Health Authority in NE of Syria confirmed that the crisis cell and medical staff are harnessing their full capacity to serve the people of the region and to prevent the coronavirus outbreak. 

The 65 people who arrived from the Syrian capital, Damascus, who are in a special center, undergo daily check-ups on a regular basis to ensure their safety.
