"We call on Russia and the Assad regime to stop the violence and work for a peaceful solution to the crisis in Syria," NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg stated at a news conference.

The secretary urged NATO to reduce the escalation in Syria, and demanded a return to the 2018 ceasefire agreement in Syria.

According to the Secretary-General of NATO, support for Turkey is limited to protecting Turkish airspace, saying: "We continue to support Turkey through measures, including strengthening its air defenses."

Luxembourg Foreign Minister Jan Asselborn confirmed today that Turkey would not have the right to request the implementation of Article 5 of the NATO Charter, because it did not consult him about its military operation in Idlib.
