Idlib displaced: Turkey sold Idlib people to Syrian regime

About 3 weeks ago, Idlib governorate in northwestern Syria witnessed fierce battles between the mercenary gangs backed by Turkey on the one hand, and the Syrian regime forces backed by Russian aviation and with support of factions loyal to Iran on the other hand.

The battles caused disastrous conditions in the governorate, forcing thousands of its people to displace to Manbij area to move after that to the rest of the northern and eastern regions of Syria run by the Autonomous Administration.

The displacement continued to the north and east of Syria following the statement of the general commander of the Syrian Democratic Forces, in which he expressed the region's readiness to receive the people of Manbij fleeing the inevitable death.

The displaced Hussein Ahmed Hankosh from al-Rami village in Idlib who is at 60 said: "The mercenaries did not help anyone. They also practiced injustice, looting, and robbery within the city, serving the interests of the Turkish state."

He added: "In the end, the Turkish state and the mercenaries sold Idlib people to the Syrian regime."

Hankosh pointed out: "The Turkish state has sold Idlib city to the Syrian regime by making suspicious deals with it. The Turkish state - since the outbreak of the revolutionary movement in Syria - is playing a negative role in the region in order to serve its interests and the interests of foreign agendas."

On the field conditions, Hussein who is residing in Guli village, east of al-Bab city said: "The Syrian regime bombardment is not resting. The warplanes are shelling hard, leaving victims from all sides. The bombing is accompanied by the artillery shelling, as the shells are falling heavily on the safe families in their homes, and their fate has become death or remain under the rubble."

He continued: "Many massacres were committed in those areas, and entire families have remained under the rubble due to the intense shelling that caused the collapse of the houses over them. Life has been absent in Idlib recently, only the shelling is intensifying and the people are being displaced to the safe areas."

He pointed out that a large percentage of the people are still under the rubble, adding: "I saw it with my own eyes."

About their displacement, Hankosh confirmed that it was bitter, difficult, and indescribable, and fear and terror were controlling them in the midst of cold and rain.

Hankosh said: "We got to the areas of the Autonomous Administration where security and safety, and we were welcomed by the people of those areas who gave us homes in which we are protected from the cold of winter."

Hankosh appealed to the people of Idlib city to head towards the north and east regions of Syria in order to preserve their lives and the lives of their children.
