Abdullah Bashir said in a video posted on the page of the Libyan Foreign Ministry that he made the decision in view of the exceptional stage the country is going through, and in light of "an attempt to legalize the foreign invasion", referring to the Saraj government’s request for Turkish military intervention.

Bashir added that Al-Sarraj government had become a hostage to a force aimed at destabilizing Libya’s security and stability, as well as robbing the country’s national decision.

The ambassador stressed his bias towards the legitimacy of the Libyan people represented by the House of Representatives and the government that emerged from it, adding, "Here we must say and confirm that I am the representative of the Libyan state in all its regions."

He continued, saying: "I declare my support for our national army in its war against terrorism, militias and outlaws, provided that this leads to free and fair elections, allowing for the establishment of a state of law and institutions, restoration of the state's prestige and sovereignty, and entering a period of prosperity and lasting stability."

On more than one occasion, the Turkish President announced his country's readiness to send forces to Libya to support the Tripoli government, while the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said: The number of mercenaries who were transferred by Turkey or preparing to transfer to Libya, has risen to about 4,700, but the battles of Tripoli witness tens of casualties as well as "fugitives" to Europe.
