Al-Mesmari: Turkish warships carrying missiles and air defense systems arrived in Tripoli

Al-Mesmari added in a press conference that the number of Syrian mercenaries transported by Turkey to Libya exceeded three thousand, pointing out that Ankara was transporting dangerous terrorists from Syria to Libya through the airports of Misurata and Mitiga and the port of Tripoli.

French President Emmanuel Macron said: Turkey has broken the pledges of the Berlin Agreement, noting that Paris has spotted Turkish ships transporting mercenaries to Libya.

During a press conference with the Prime Minister of Greece in Paris, Macron confirmed that France supports Greece and Cyprus in their sovereignty over their maritime borders, and condemns again the agreement between Turkey and al-Sarraj government.

After receiving the Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, the French President said: "We have seen in recent days Turkish ships carrying Syrian mercenaries arriving in Libyan territory."

Macron added that "it is expressly inconsistent with what President Erdogan committed to do during the Berlin conference, it is a lack of respect for his words."

The Berlin Conference on Libya emphasized respecting the arms embargo to Libya imposed on it since 2011, lack of support for armed groups and interference in the affairs of the country.

In March 2011, the United Nations Security Council passed Resolution 1970, requesting all UN member states to "prevent the sale or supply of arms and related materiel to Libya."
