The Co-Head of the Executive Council of the Autonomous Administration of North and East of Syria, Abdul Mahbash and Birvan Khaled, held an extended meeting today with the offices, committees and the economic bodies of the in the administration, with the attendance of The Co-Head of the Executive Council, Talaat Younis and Nazira Gaweria, and the co-heads of all bodies, offices and economic committees in the seven bodies in the north eastern areas of Syria.

The meeting focused on the economic crisis that is ravaging Syria, north eastern Syria in particular, as well as addressing the reasons and alternatives to avoiding this crisis.

The meeting came up with a final statement read by Abdul Mahbash in a press conference, the statement revealed several decisions aimed at serving people and avoiding the effects of the economic crisis, the most important of which are:

"deciding on supporting the basic food items in the region in light of the economic conditions such as grill, drink, rice, diesel, baby milk and other materials. They will be distributed to people at cost price and wholesale prices, and keeping the prices of fuel, bread and transportation.in addition to increasing the observation in the markets of north eastern Syria to control prices and prevent manipulation."

Al-Mahbash noted that the administration decided to form a "crisis cell" to follow up on the urgent economic situations, and to take decisions quickly to avoid any exploitation of the people so that they could not be affected by the current economic matters.

The statement said that the administration will work to encourage and support local industries and crops, and support these sectors for the  self-sufficiency of the materials.
