According to the available capabilities, the camp administration has brought in a number of school furniture that includes seats and (pre-made) rooms, to accommodate more than 50 displaced children residing in Girê Spi camp, after leaving their schools as a result of the Turkish attack.

The co-chair of the camp, Mohammed Al Sheikh, stressed that the children should be admitted to schools as much as possible, according to the capabilities available to them.

The camp administration sought, with the start of the establishment of the camp in November 22, 2019, to open a school within it, and to secure teaching staff for it, and teaching is currently done by 6 teachers from the camp residents, and students will be taught the curriculum that they were studying in their schools from which they were abandoned.

"One of the organizations promised us to support the education sector in the camp, but it did not keep its promises, so we worked to activate education by opening this school with our available capabilities," Sheikh said.

Muhammad Sheikh called on international organizations, children's and human rights organizations, to provide support in the field of education, so that the hundreds of students who were displaced by the Turkish war machine to obtain the most basic rights.

In turn, the student, Muhammad Al-Zumu, thanked the camp administration for opening the school, and he wished, at the end of his speech, to return to his home, which was occupied by mercenaries, and return to his school to complete his education.

It is worth noting that the number of the displaced people of Girê Spi reached 763, including 394 children who need education, care, and other necessities, the camp administration strives to secure as possible.
