Demo in Kobani denouncing isolation imposed on leader Ocalan

At the initiative of the Young Woman Movement in Kobani canton, hundreds of Kobani residents protested against the isolation imposed on leader Abdullah Ocalan in Imrali Island Prison.

Turkish authorities have recently refused Ocalan's lawyer requests to meet him, and information has been received about the authorities imposing regulatory sanctions on him.

The demonstrators gathered at the Free Women Square in the city of Kobani, carrying pictures of leader Abdullah Ocalan, and banners reading  " a nation will not kneel as long as you are its leader", and set out in the demonstration towards the Salam Square on the northern outskirts of the city.

There, the protesters stood a minute of silence, in honor of the souls of the martyrs, and then the joint head of the Sheeran Majida Hassoun district council read a statement in the name of Kongra Star and the Young Women Movement, in which he commemorated the struggle of leader Ocalan in Imrali prison, and denounced the isolation imposed on him.

"We are here all the peoples of the region with all its spectra and components, we will fight for our dignity and freedom, and for the sake of our great leader Ocalan, and you, O fascist enemy, whatever you do and conspire will not succeed, and you will not be able to stand in our way, no matter how this isolation tightens Ocalan, we will follow the path of our leader is the path of martyrs. "

"And as Ocalan says," We started with the youth and we will win the youth, "and we call on all young men and women to rise up to achieve the freedom of Ocalan, because his thought and philosophy led to our freedom."

Majida Hassoun concluded reading the statement by saying: "We do not fear death because we make life from death, and we call on all women to rise up for the freedom of leader Ocalan."

The demonstration ended with chanting slogans reviving the struggle of Ocalan and calling for his freedom.
