Citizens call on the Kurdish parties to draw lessons from history

The people of Qamishlo called on the Kurdish political parties and organizations to sit at one table without any preconditions, to resolve their differences and unify their ranks, explaining that the Kurdish people are in danger.

The areas of NE, Syria have been attacked since October 9, 2019 by the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries from the Syrian National Army, and officials and intellectuals from the north and east of Syria have described these attacks as targeting the presence of the Kurdish people and the rest of the people in the region.

After the Turkish attack, several calls and initiatives were launched to unify the Kurdish political forces and parties in NE, Syria for their ranks, and the need to sit at the dialogue table to unify the visions.

On November 16, 2019, the Commander-in-Chief of the Syrian Democratic Forces, Mazloum Abdi, launched an initiative to unify the Kurdish row, and he called on the Kurdish political parties to work to build and arrange the Kurdish house.

Qamishlo city's people in NE, Syria have praised the initiative launched by Mazloum Abdi, describing it as a positive and holy step. The citizen Mohammad Sharif said: “The initiative of the Commander-in-Chief of the Syrian Democratic Forces, Mazloum Abdi, regarding the unification of the Kurdish ranks, is a positive step and a sacred act.”

Mohammad Sharif explained that the Kurdish people have not gained anything since the First World War as a result of the differences that occurred between them. He explained: "The Rojava Revolution gave us the capabilities to achieve national unity and we should not waste this opportunity."

Why do our parties not unite??

Sharif called on the Kurdish political parties to come close to the initiatives with a high patriotic sense and achieve national unity, and said: “All the powers in the world when their gains are in danger put their differences aside and unite.” He asked, “Why do our parties not unite? For example, Turkey has opposition in but their positions were united when the attack on the Kurdish people was launched on the pretext that their national security was endangered. "

“Unfortunately, despite initiatives and appeals, some political parties have not taken any practical steps to unify the Kurdish ranks. They must overcome these problems in order to be able to represent the Kurdish people with one speech in international forums,” Sharif said.

Citizen Fatima Kojjar of the political parties wished to unite, and she said: "Today we are all in one ship, if it capsizes, we will all be drowned within it, so politicians must unite their ranks because our existence is in danger."

Saleh Omar saw that the Kurdish national unity is more important than bread and water, and stressed the need for political parties to meet at the same table and solve their problems, without any preconditions.

Omar called on the Kurdish political parties and organizations to come closer to each other now more than ever, and he said: "There are military forces that protect us, why do our political parties not unite their ranks."
