On Friday, the UAE condemned the Turkish decision to send military forces to Libya, and affirmed in a statement its rejection of any flimsy legal justifications used by Turkey in this regard.

It added that such interference represented a clear threat to the Arab national security and to the stability of the Mediterranean region.

On Thursday, the Turkish parliament agreed to send troops to Libya, but sources confirmed the arrival of Turkish mercenaries to Libya since days.

The Turkish movements in Libya and east of the Mediterranean have provoked international and regional anger, especially by Egypt, Greece and Cyprus.
