Social Justice Council assesses works, decides new year plan

On Monday, the annual evaluation meeting for the Council of the Social Justice,  committees and bodies linked with it was held in Manbij city and its countryside for assessing the work during 2019, and the problems that countered the work line at the hall of the Legislative Council for meetings in the city center.   

Tens of members of the Social Justice Council, and bodies and committees linked with it, and representatives of the Democratic Civil Administration in Manbij and its countryside attended the meeting.

The meeting started with a silence minute, the annual report was read by Amira Hammou, the Co-president of the Council of the Social Justice in Manbij and its countryside. The report assessed work in 2019, which     developed in a remarkable way, comparing to the previous years.

The Justice Council was established in Manbij on 16 December 2016.

 According to the annual report, 2,629 civil and penal suits were submitted to the Council this year,  1,953 charges received by the Reconciliation  Committees too. The Reconciliation Council solved 1,870 suits and sent 303 to the court of the Justice Council, while the rest of the claims are under consideration.  

After reading the annual report, the discussion proposal was opened. The reviews focused  during that on the fact that Social Justice was one of the pillars of the democratic nation adopted by Manbij people, and called for intensifying the number of Reconciliation Committees in the communes to solve problems as many as possible in a peaceful social way.

At the end of the meeting, the co-chairman of the committees, Abdul Razzak Ismail, read  the action plan for 2020, most importantly the work on the implementation of the Women's Law, and preparing a project for a special construction for the Council of  Social Justice in Manbij.
