Politician: To protect the Kurdish people in Syria, we must seek unity

The Autonomous Administration issued a statement yesterday evening calling for unifying Kurdish political speech on an initiative by the Syrian Democratic Forces, stressing that there is no legal obstacle for the Kurdish National Council in Syria in order to open its organizational and partisan offices, and do activities without the need To any security clearances.

The Kurdistan National Congress KNC also called on the Kurdish people and parties to unite on several occasions, although the people have declared their support for the KNC's initiative, a number of parties, particularly those of the Kurdish National Council, did not join the initiative because they are linked to the agendas and plans of foreign states, most notably the Turkish occupation and the so-called "Syrian coalition".

" We call for unity as the progressive party from the beginning , so that we as a Kurdish people in Syria, know what our demands are," said Farhad Darwish, a member of the Central Committee of the Kurdish Progressive Democratic Party in Syria.

"When we present our cause to the world, we must first be united, especially following the Turkish state's attack on Northern and Eastern Syria and occupation of its territory, at this time unity is necessary to counter these attacks," Darwish said.

Farhad Darwish said:" they are not demanding unity of the movement, but "our initiative must be united, and some parties are cooperating for the unity of the Kurdish rank"

"When we appeal to the political parties for the unity of the Kurdish ranks, the parties respond that they are ready for unity, but so far we are disappointed that we have not achieved any result so far," he said.

In the end, Farhad Darwish, Central Committee member of the Kurdish Progressive Democratic Party in Syria, appealed on behalf of his party to all political parties to seek the unity of the Kurdish rank, saying, "Let us show the world as a Kurdish people in Syria what our demands are, to face the Turkish attacks, and to protect the Kurdish people in Syria. We must seek unity in the Kurdish rank."
