Internal Security de-activated mine in Deir ez-Zor countryside

The Internal Security Forces’ dismantling teams in Deri ez-Zor eastern countryside removed a mine prepared for explosion which weighted 15 kg.

The Media Center of the Internal Security Forces issued a statement in this regard, confirming that after receiving a notification from one of the checkpoints about the existence of a suspicious object in the middle of the road near al-Attal Square located between the area of al-Basira and al-Shuhail, one of the patrols of the Internal Security Forces, accompanied by the bombing experts went immediately to the specified location.

As the patrol rushed to completely cut off the road to remove get the civilians away from the area of the presence of the foreign body in order to preserve their safety, for the engineering units to begin detecting the suspicious object, as it became clear that it was a mine prepared and ready for remote detonation, and therefore, its activation was defused and it was transferred to a safe place for destruction, while the mine weighed 15 kg of high explosive TNT.
