While Turkey continues to threaten the northern and eastern regions of Syria and violate the declared ceasefire agreement, international and local reactions towards the Turkish aggression left more than 300,000 civilians displaced from their areas, particularly in Serekaniye and Girê Spi regions, are continuing.

To condemn the Turkish aggression and the violations committed by Turkey and its mercenaries in the regions of northern and eastern Syria, thousands of students and teachers of the city of Kobani went out today in a demonstration that roamed the streets of the city.

The demonstration was organized under the slogan, "International community ... Do not be partners in demographic change and massacres of our children in northern and eastern Syria."

Crowds of students and teachers gathered at the end of 48th Street on Haling Road, and started marching along 48th Street to the Free Woman Square, where everyone stood for a minute of silence in remembrance of the souls of the martyrs.

The demonstrators held banners reading "No to demographic change", "No to the Turkish occupation of our regions", "Do not destroy our future", and chanted slogans reviving resistance to dignity.

A spokesperson for the Education Committee in Kobani Province, Jumana Masko, gave a speech during the demonstration saying: "We in the Education Committee condemn the international silence, and the inability to stop the criminal Turkish regime for its crimes, by blackmailing the world with the refugee and terrorism card, and we announce our support behind the SDF in dignity resistance that repels Turkish aggression.

She added, "The sacrifices our children offered in the fight against terrorism against ISIS, and in dignity resistance against the Turkish aggression and its mercenaries, are in order to protect this region and maintain peace and a way of coexistence between all components, which is a badge of honor we place on our chests and we are proud of, because our children have sacrificed their lives to defend their families and their land against the aggressors."

Jumana Misko pointed out that "the defense of the land and honor and sacrificing oneself for this case is the noblest and highest rank of martyrdom."

She affirmed their rejection of all the projects that the aggression country is trying to implement in the region, starting with the constitutional committee that ignored more than five million Syrian people living in north and east Syria, in addition to what our people have provided in order to protect the unity of Syria with more than 11 thousand martyrs and 25 thousand wounded, ending up in the demographic change and occupation of these territories.

A spokeswoman for the Education Committee in Kobani canton, Jumana Masko, appealed to the international community, led by the United States and Russia, to pressure the Turkish regime and not to remain silent about the crimes committed by its mercenaries against the components of northern and eastern Syria, and to pressure to stop the aggression and withdraw the mercenaries from the occupied areas.
