The KDP issued a statement of public opinion condemning and condemning the attack on the city of Qamishlo on 11 November by detonating two car bombs. It also called on the international community to intervene to deter the Turkish occupier whose deliberate aggression has deliberately given way to ISIS terrorists to reorganize their ranks.

The statement read as follows:

The city of Qamishlo on Monday, 11/11/2019, three terrorist bombings took place, resulting from two car bombs and a motorcycle bomb, killing six civilians and wounding about 40 others, in addition to significant material damage to the property of the people.

The bombings came hours after another terrorist act targeting the pastor of the Armenian Catholic Church in Qamishlo, Father Hosib Bidoyan and his father. ISIS terrorists targeted Father Bidoyan and his father at the entrance to Deir –ez-Zor on Monday morning, while on their way to follow up the endowments of the Armenian Catholic Church in Deir-ez-Zor.

These terrorist acts come at a time when the Turkish occupation forces and their extremist factions are waging a barbaric aggression against northern and eastern Syria, which clearly indicates a strong relationship between these terrorist acts and the Turkish aggression, which seeks in various ways to thwart the democratic project of the Autonomous Administration in North and East of Syria.

It is clear that the aim of these terrorist acts is to create panic and create confusion, and to undermine security, stability, co-existence and fraternity in the areas of northern and eastern Syria, especially as they targeted civilians of various components, this brings the message that the terrorists and their supporters, notably Turkey, are not targeting any particular component, but all the components in the region, and the assassination of the Armenian Catholic pastor Father Hosib Bidoyan and his father Khayyir is proof of this.

We in the Kurdistan Democratic Party of Peace, while condemning in the strongest terms the recent terrorist operations in the city of Qamishlo, we call on all components of northern and eastern Syria to join forces and standing alongside with the Syrian Democratic Forces against the brutal Turkish aggression and its sleeper cells, and we call on the various Kurdish forces to unite row and word, and put differences aside, in the best interest of the Kurdish people.

We also call on the international community to intervene to deter the Turkish occupier whose deliberate aggression has deliberately given way to ISIS terrorists to reorganize their ranks, which undermines the efforts of the SDF and the US-led international coalition to fight terrorism and endangers security and stability in the region and the world again.
