SDF foiled strong attack on M4

The Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries of Jabhet al-Nusra and ISIS are intensifying their attacks on the International Road M4 linking between the Euphrates and al-Jazeera regions.

The Turkish army and its mercenaries of ISIS and Jabhet al-Nusra launched an attack on the village of Musherfeh, located south of Silok district in Girê Spî canton.

The mercenaries used in the attack six armored vehicles, a tank and three BMB vehicles to control the strategic road and separate the Euphrates region from al-Jazeera region.

The fighters of the Syrian Democratic Forces repelled the attack, inflicted heavy losses to the mercenaries and managed to destroy two mercenaries' armored vehicles, forcing them to flee.

"The Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries of ISIS and Jabhet al-Nusra have launched an aggression against the village of al-Musherfeh," said Adel Khalil al-Hussein, a Syrian Democratic Forces fighter.

Al-Hussein pointed out, "The goal is to control the international road to separate the Euphrates and al-Jazeera regions from each other, but we were able to foil their attacks and kill many mercenaries in addition to destroying two armored vehicles."
