YPG congratulated people on occasion of Newroz, pledged to liberate Afrin

The General Command of the People's Protection Units issued a public statement congratulating Newroz on all of the Syrian people and their fighters. YPG renewed the covenant on the liberation of Afrin.

The text of the statement is:

"Our heroic people, the mothers of the martyrs, the men and women of our dear homeland, the fighters of freedom, we send you our peace and our love with the warmth of Newroz, and we greet you with the spirit of enthusiasm that will prevail by proclaiming the great victory in the near future.

 History will not be merciful to the Turkish occupation state, which occupied the city of Afrin with its mercenaries who broke the statue of Kawa.

The people of Kurdistan, who went through many crises and tragedies, have not lost their hope and continued their struggle in various circumstances and difficulties until the great stage of resistance, a new birth for a people that has risen from under the ashes and to prove to the whole world that it is a people who love freedom and life for our people and all the peoples of Mesopotamia. And history will remember the resistance of the peoples that will remove the injustice and tyranny of kings and sultans and fascists will be the day of the victory of the peoples when it eliminates the darkness.

Today, the Rojava Revolution has become an icon for the world, thanks to the sacrifices of thousands of revolutionary martyrs, who have faced the global terrorism of IS, and mercenary groups associated with the Turkish state.

We at the General Command of the People's Protection Units congratulate our commander, our fighters and our people with all its components, pledging that we will liberate Afrin at all costs.
