Lavrov before Putin-Erdogan meeting: No dialogue with terrorists in Idlib

Russia has once again noted with Idlib's file against Turkey, Lavrov noted before a meeting held by the Russian President Vladimir Putin with Turkish President Erdoğan and confirmed its support for the regime during the military operation against Idlib, according to Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, who stressed that "dialogue with the terrorists cannot be achieved."

The Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said in a press conference with Lesego Makgothi, Foreign Minister of Lesotho, that "the Syrian issue will be one of the most important issues that will be discussed during the meeting between President Vladimir Putin and his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Sochi."

Lavrov said that Jabhit al-Nusra controls 90% of Idlib area, stressing that dialogue cannot be held with terrorists.

The so called De-Escalation areas, led by Idlib witnessed a violent escalation during the past few days coincided with the Russian-Turkish talks held in Ankara.

Observers believe that the dispute between Russia and Turkey about the solution in Idlib deepens as Russia has frequently repeated its resentment of the Turkish procrastination on the implementation of the Idlib agreement.

Turkey is seeking to re-dissolve the mercenaries of Jabhit al-Nusra with a new organization with a view to bringing them to the Constitutional Committee.
