Girgê Legê people: 'In the Spirit of Prisons' Resistance, we to Break the Restrictions'

Thousands of people from Girgê Legê district organized a march in solidarity with parliamentarian Leyla Guven, who has been on hunger strike for the 88th day demanding to lift the isolation of Kurdish leader Abdullah Ocalan.

Under the slogan "In the Spirit of Prisons Resistance, we will Break the Restrictions." The residents of Girgê Legê district organized a march started from the martyr Khebat Dêrik Square and toured through the main street of the district, during which they chanted slogans that salute the struggle of the woman and salute the resistance of Kurdish leader Abdullah Ocalan.

Then the demonstrators gathered in the middle of Girgê Legê district. After holding a minute of silence, a speech was delivered by the administrator of Kongra Star Narishan Barakat, which said: "The arena of resistance and struggle is not only to carry weapons on the battlefields but to respond to the enemy and the occupiers in all ways of struggle, including the conspiracy that affected the Kurdish people and all the peoples demanding freedom and dignity in the personality of the leader of the democratic nation Abdullah Ocalan. "

Narishan Berakat stressed that the resistance of Ocalan in Imrali in the hearts of the Kurdish people in general and women in particular created a great revolution and made the resistance of Imrali a source of free will and struggle among the peoples, asserting that the resistance of Leyla Guven and all those in solidarity with her in prisons and outside is a confirmation of the continuation of the struggle on the approach of prison resistance which affected the enemy without the need to carry any weapon.

The march ended with slogans saluting the resistance of Leyla Guven and demanding the freedom of Kurdish leader Abdullah Ocalan.
