Refugee… we live in safety, Turkey is occupying state

The refugee, Yasmin Mohammed explained that Turkey is an occupying state and occupied extensive areas of the Syrian lands through its mercenaries, alluding they are refusing of the Turkish occupation to Manbij city which is in stable condition.

Yasmin Mohamed's family. She is at 28 years, she has five children from Maskana town, which is under domination of the Syrian regime, the fierce war had forced her to displace from her home, in particular, she has a child with special needs, and now she is living in damaged home with members of her family in Manbij city.

The family of Yasmin was living in safety, but when IS gangs dominated the area, their lives turned into hell, due to the violent clashes between the Syria regime and IS, infrastructure was destroyed in the area and fear, corruption and oppression spread among the people, where most the homes were destroyed and the people cannot return to it.

After SDF and Manbij Military Council liberated Manbij city, we went to Manbij city searching for safe shelter and the Turkish state is still threatening the area with attacks to occupy the city, and we are afraid of committing crimes in the area, as what had happed in many areas occupied by Turkey.

And she touched upon IS atrocities in their areas saying:" After occupying the area by IS gangs, we were very afraid, in particular women we could not work freely.

She said "we took shelter in Manbij city, we found safety and security by virtue of its children protecting it, we are happy despite the harsh living conditions and I have child with special needs, he always needs to drink milk and medicines, but we enjoy security in Manbij city.

And she pointed they could not return to the area because their home was destroyed by the bombardment of the Syrian regime and their possessions were looted, they don’t have enough money to rebuild their home.

Yasmin explained that they have been living in Manbij for more than a year and seven months in a damaged home, Manbij city is witnessing security and stability, so Turkey is trying hard to destabilize it.

“The Turkish state is an occupant state, now it occupies a part of the Syrian territory through its mercenaries, it always threatens to launch attacks to occupy Manbij city, where will we go? We have severely suffered displacement. We live here in Manbij in security and safety.”
