Series of meetings in Lebanon to talk about Turkish aggression on Afrin

Democratic Society Movement held series of meetings in several areas in Lebanon, attended by hundreds of Kurds and friends of the Kurdish people to talk about the Turkish occupation of Afrin and the violations committed against civilians there.

In the areas occupied by Turkey, including Afrin, there are inhumane violations against civilians, in addition to the increase in killings and looting. In addition to the Turkish aggression on Afrin, Democratic Society Movement in Lebanon held series of meetings in the areas of Tripoli, Amshit, al-Dahiya al-Jenobiya, al-Bekaa and Baalbek, attended by hundreds of Kurds.

During the meetings, the two administrators of Democratic Society Movement, Sharivan Jodi, and the representative of the Democratic Autonomous Administration, Abdul Salam Ahmed touched upon the Turkish attack on Afrin and the resistance against it.

They also said that Afrin resisted for 58 days against all types of weapons and warplanes used by the occupation to bomb civilians.

For his part, Abdul Salam Ahmed said that the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries are practicing the most severe violations against civilians in Afrin and the areas occupied by Turkey.

During the meeting, they also highlighted the resistance of Kurdish parliamentarian Leyla Guven and in support of her demands to lift the isolation of Kurdish leader Abdullah Ocalan and achieve his freedom.
