Turkish border guards target farmers and shepherd in Girê Spî

The Turkish occupation continues its violations against the people of northern Syria. In this context, the Turkish occupation army targeted the farmers and sheepherders near the Turkish border in al-Yabisah village, west of Girê Spî city without causing any damage or losses.

The farmer Omer Hassen said to Hawar news agency, "When I was plowing my land today and when I headed towards the Turkish wall during the tilling process, two border guards came up from the wall and directly targeted me with live bullet so I had to flee and return to the village leaving the field."

"Today, they also targeted a motorcycle belonging to one of the villagers who was passing through the village," said Hassen.

Omer Hassen assured, "The border guards monitor all our movements in the village and they know that we are civilians and yet, they target us." Hassen mentioned that the border guards also target the house lighting.

In a relevant context, the citizen Mahmoud Khalil said, "We left our land near the border, we cannot cultivate it because the border guards target us with live bullets."

Mahmoud Khalil added, "I was herding the sheep on the northern side of the village when the border guards from the Turkish side targeted me with live bullet so I had to put the sheep in the house without grazing it in the land."
