UAE newspaper: Kurdish cause must become global cause

The National Newspaper of UAE said that the cause of the Kurds is not a Syrian or Turkish cause, it must become a global cause, and the whole world is indebted to those who sacrificed their lives for a safer world. Turkey has great ambitions in the north of Syria and seeks to change the large demographic in the border areas of the Syrian side.

The newspaper added, " the Syrian Democratic Forces(SDF) did not stop eliminating the remnants of IS, even as world leaders play by the destiny of the Kurds."

The newspaper said that with a " buffer zone", the People Protection Units(YPG) would be removed from the Turkish border and that northern Syria would be safe from a Turkish military operation.

The newspaper also drew attention to the decision to the US withdrawal of troops from Syria leaves SDF without protection in the region, and will cause the decline of US influence in the world, which would leave way for another force such as Russia play a negotiating role with the Kurds.

The newspaper concluded, "After they fought IS courageously, the international community must ensure their protection, even the most primitive understanding of justice requires that."
