Al-Walda's notable: Self-Defense must be consolidated among our children

Arab Clans' sheikhs in al-Tabqa area continue to urge the people in the area to join to the duty of Self-Defense and organize themselves in the ranks of the military forces to defend the gains of the area, coinciding with the Turkish threats against north and east of Syria.

Hawar news agency (ANHA) held an interview with one of the al-Walda clan's notables, Walid al-Khmary on the role of tribal sheikhs in educating the people of the area about the importance of defense and protection.

If we do not protect our land, no one will come to protect us?

"Our region today needs its children "With these words, Sheikh Walid al-Khmary began his talk about the necessity of solidarity of the people of the area to protect this land, saying: "This is our land and we have the right to defend it, this land whose soils mixed with the martyrs' bloods, we must keep this in mind and keep what they have achieved with our determination and will, without counting on anyone because all external parties today suffer from mercenary disease, and the mercenary will not defend us is a person of without morality and human values.

We must appreciate the efforts of SDF, we protect our liberated lands

We appreciate the efforts of SDF, and their sacrifices to liberate our lands by their martyrs' bloods, so it is the duty of the people of the region to protect their liberated land saying: During IS domination for 3 years, it committed atrocities against the people under fake fatwas led the areas to the abyss, but by virtue of sacrifices of SDF the people had been liberated from the slavery and injustice. After SDF launched many campaigns the people of the area have tasted the freedom.

Today, SDF are fighting IS in the last pocket to eradicate them from the countryside of Deir-ez-Zor, and Turkish state is still threatening north and east of Syria, thinking SDF it will be busy in the battels against IS and there is no one deter it, all north Syria's people would fight Turkish occupation if launched attacks. 

Self–Defense concept has strong relation with our history and culture

During his speech Walid al-Khmary said "We have Self–Defense concept in our beliefs a long ago, but developed into other kinds over time, in the history the children of the clan they repel any attacks targeted them by solidarity.

We will confront Turkey and destroy Ottoman's dreams

Al-Khmary has stressed in his speech, Arab clans in the area would put an end of the Turkish ambitions in the area " 400 years were enough to see the fact of the Ottoman fascist project who committed genocide against Armenians people which the world witnessed their atrocities, so today, we as Arab clans we will struggle till the last breath to defend to north-east areas which was liberated by SDF.

At the end of his speech Khmary stressed saying: "We are right and landowners and history to prove to the world that the right owners are victorious in the face of aggressors and aspirants."
