Demo in Amed condemning Ocalan's isolation

Many people of Amed in Bakur Kurdistan "North Kurdistan" have demonstrated condemning the isolation which was imposed on the leader of the Kurdish people, Abdullah Ocalan, expressing their solidarity with the hunger strike of Leyla Guven, the co-chair of the Democratic Community Conference.

The people of Amed city in "Bakur Kurdistan" have organized a demonstration in the square of Amed, condemning the strict isolation on the leader of the Kurdish people, Ocalan, expressing their solidarity and readiness to support the hunger strike in the prisons of Turkey state.

The demonstration organized under the slogan" Democracy, Freedom, and Peace" started at 12:00 pm and will continue till 16:00 pm

The demonstrators raised banners reading "Leyla Guven is right. We are mothers. We are in a world without war."

The people came to the place of the demonstration chanting the slogans" Leyla Guven is our dignity. Long live to prison's resistance."

The demonstration is planned to include the isolation imposed on the leader Ocalan, the meeting of the leader Ocalan with his brother, which took place on 12 January, and the hunger strike of the co-chair of the Democratic Community Conference, Leyla Guven.
