Demo in al-Shahba against Turkish occupation

AL-SHAHBA

Hundreds members of Culture and Art Movement demonstrated in al-Shahba coinciding with the arrival of the first anniversary of the Resistance of the Age  .

The demonstration took place between the village of Tal Susin and Serdem camp.

There, the demonstrators held a minute of silence, after which the administrator member of Culture and Art Movement of Afrin Hanan Siddo said that the Resistance of the Age recorded in history and the people of Afrin proved their resistance to the whole world, adding that the aim of Afrin attacks erase the culture and identity of the Kurdish people, we will face and resist the policies and attacks of the Turkish occupation with our cultural activities and we will organize ourselves until the liberation of Afrin and return to it. "

During the demonstration, the Movement of Culture and Art issued a statement to the public opinion, read by the administrator Ala Muslim who said :

For 8 years of crisis in Syria and co-existence in Afrin the Ottoman Empire decided to launch its war against Afrin on 20- 2018, our people chose the resistance inspired by its forces to liberate the city from the hands of the oppressor and despite of mercenaries and support with warplanes , the resistance lasted 58 days. "

"We, as the Movement of Culture and Art in al- Shahba denounce this occupation and the accompanying demographic change of Afrin,  which aim to restore the Ottoman state glory.

After that, the artists of Afrin presented epic songs about the Resistance of the Age , and the demo ended with slogans saluted the resistance of Afrin people.
