Hundreds of women demonstrated on Wednesday in the city of al-Raqqa to denounce the Turkish threats to occupy the northern and eastern regions of Syria. In this regard, women from al-Raqqa confirmed that the buffer zone that Erdogan claims to establish in northern Syria is a new occupation of the region.

The official in Woman Administration in al-Raqqa Zuleikha Abdi said, "These areas were liberated from IS mercenaries thanks to the great sacrifices made by the fighters of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), and now Erdogan claims to liberate them. Will Erdogan liberate the region from its original people and settle his mercenaries instead as what is happening now in Afrin?"

Zahra Mohammed al-Shehadeh, a citizen of al-Raqqa denounced the Turkish threats and noted that Erdogan fears the power and organization of women and the principle of the democratic nation. Therefore, he threatens to launch attacks on our safe areas.

Henod al-Mahmoud, the mother of a martyr said that the Syrian Democratic Forces are the only forces that protected the people and provided security for them. She said, "No to the occupation that aims at plundering the resources of the region and sowing strife among the people."
