Al-Qaftan: Civilians in Idlib are victims of agreements among regional states

Ibrahim al-Qaftan pointed out that the guarantors of the path of Astana and Sochi Agreements agreed on letting Hayet Tahrir al-Sham (formerly Jabhet al-Nusra) to control Idlib area to be a justification for eliminating the other factions and returning the city to the control of the Syrian regime. He called on the people of Idlib to have a position on this expansion which will bring them scourges.

The talk of the head of the Future Syria Party, Ibrahim al-Qaftan, about the fighting between the mercenaries of Hayet Tahrir al-Sham and the mercenaries of the factions of the National Liberation Front in the countryside of Idlib and Aleppo came during a private interview with Hawar news agency.

He added that the Future Syria Party has a tendency to consolidate stability in the north and east of Syria through the establishment of international and regional alliances or with the Syrian government to ensure the security and stability of the region.

He explained that the agreement that took place in Sochi among the guarantors of the path of Astana; Russia, Turkey and Iran was planned for to make Jabhet al-Nusra controlling on Idlib at the expense of the other factions to justify the elimination of these factions and return the city to the control of the Syrian government.

He pointed out that the biggest loser of these strives and disturbances are the civilians in the province of Idlib who will pay the price of these disturbances, and will suffer from displacement, murder and other practices as a result of these conspiracies against them.

He noted that the sponsors of Sochi Agreement; Russia, Iran and Turkey do not want stability in Syria, especially the Turkish state which always seeks to create chaos in the stable areas.

Al-Qaftan hoped the people of Idlib province to look at the experience of the regions of North and East Syria and their Autonomous Administration, hold communication among themselves, be acquainted with and accept the project of the democratic nation because it is the best way to resolve the Syrian crisis.

Al-Qaftan pointed out that the Syrian-Syrian dialogue is the most successful in resolving any issue and not fighting that brings destruction.

At the end of his speech, he called on the people of Idlib governorate to have a position towards extending Jabhet al-Nusra which will bring them the scourges of war and chaos.
