Kurdish National Alliance responds to Kurdish unity formation's appeal

At the initiative of the Executive Body of the Kurdistan National Congress-Rojava a committee of five members was formed to work on the formation of a Kurdish national unit to face the threats that target the Kurdish people in Rojava and Kurdistan. The committee held meetings with the Kurdish parties.

As an initial step, the committee called for the unlicensed parties to open their offices in Rojava and northern and eastern Syria after the coordination with the Democratic Autonomous Administration.

In this context, the member of Dêrik's Elders and Notables Council Sinan Ahmed, the head of the Syrian Writers Union Delawar Zenki, the member of the Executive Body of the Kurdistan National Congress Abdul Karim Omar, Daria Ramadan, the Archaeologist and Professor of the University of Rojava Suleiman Elias held a visit to the headquarters of Kurdish Democratic Progressive Party in Syria in Qamishlo city.

Daria Ramadan spoke about the meeting that brought them together with the Progressive Party and said, "We discussed the political situation and the Turkish threats against the northern and eastern regions of Syria, the occupation of Afrin, the status of the Kurdish people and Kurdish national unity."

The discussion with the party was positive

Daria pointed out that although the views of the Kurdish Progressive Democratic Party in Syria were not different with regard to the national unity, while the discussions with the party were positive, and later on the party's position on the national unity will be clear.

The Progressive Party member Kilan Oskan spoke about the discussions held between them and the Kurdistan National Congress Committee-Rojava.

Oskan said that the meeting was positive and that there were no differences and added, "We have held discussions within the framework of the national unity, and at such time, the Kurdish national unity is very important. Syria is witnessing a very sensitive stage. We have called for the national unity many times, and now we are ready for national unity. We told the committee that we will clearly state our position soon."

The Alliance Party responded to the call of the Kurdistan National Congress

The Kurdistan National Congress Committee held contacts and meetings with the Kurdish National Alliance in Syria and Daria Remedan said, "As a result of the discussions with the Alliance, it assured us that they would participate in the Kurdish national unity."
