Conference indicates spirit of resistance in north Syria's women

The conference is held under the slogan "Organized Women Are Democratic Syria Guarantee", in the presence of hundreds of women from Manbij and women's delegations from north and east Syria, the Syrian Women's Council, the Syrian Democratic Council (SDC) and the Future Syria Party.

During the conference, many words were delivered, including a speech on behalf of the Women's Committee in north and east Syria by Maha al-Ali, which congratulated holding the conference on all women, and confirmed that the Conference is the fruit of the efforts of women who have taken important steps in strengthening their organization.

Maha praised the role played by the Women's Council in Manbij through the development and awareness of women after many years of occupation of IS mercenaries to the city and the organization of women in all spheres of life.

In her turn, the head of the Executive Council of the Syrian Democratic Council, Elham Ahmed, said that holding the conference at this sensitive stage is considered a great achievement, because Manbij and all the area of the Syrian north are being threatened by the Turkish occupation state. This indicates the spirit of resistance among the people in general and women in particular.

"The conference confirms that women are making great strides to strengthen their organization," she said.

"Turkey is trying to thwart the democratic nation's project, which was made by the people of the north and east of Syria with their free will and wishes to achieve its goals and aspirations in the area,” she said.

As for the withdrawal of American forces from Syria, Elham Ahmed said, "The sacrifices made by the people of the area attracted the world's countries to ally with us. Therefore, the withdrawal of American forces is not strange because they will leave sooner or later, we do not rely on any external forces.

She stressed the necessity for world states to express a clear position of these threats, adding that " if Turkey occupied the area, it will spread destruction and corruption, a good example of this is what is happening in Afrin where killing, looting and stealing are practiced."

In the name of the coexisting components in the area, the Circassian Royida Sulaiman delivered a speech, and the word of the Kurdish people delivered by Hevin Mohammed, the word of the Arab people delivered by Shiraz Qogu, and the word of the Turkmen people delivered by Kifa al-Hassan, the speeches confirmed that all the people were united in the face of the Turkish threats and the necessity unify the ranks to establish security and stability in the area.

The speech of the Syrian Women's Council was delivered by Lina Barakat, who congratulated the conference at this stage, which is considered the stage of existence and absence, and stressed that women will be able to defeat terrorism and ending the Turkish occupation and defeat it from all Syrian territory.

A speech on behalf of the Future Syria Party was delivered by the Secretary General of the party, Havrin Khalaf, who stressed that the Syrian women stood by all the components in front of the threats facing the Syrian lands, she stressed the necessity to work and get out of the conference by decisions that serve women and their unity.

The speech of Kongra Star was delivered by Hadiya Shamo, who praised the major role of women's struggles in unifying the ranks of women throughout the North Syria, she stressed that women have made important strides in North Syria, pointing out that women's experience and achievements during her revolution have resonated all over the world.

She urged the necessity to escalate the struggle to face any danger facing the Syrian north.

After the words were read, congratulations telegrams from the Health Committee, Martyrs Families' Council, Culture and Art, and the Education Committee.

Then short report of the Women's Council since its establishment was shown. The conference is due to end with the election of Women’s Council members and a final statement.
