Sheikho: Vast participation in sit-in, Turkish occupation's threats will not undermine their will, unity

Ahmed Sheikho pointed out that vast participation in the activity of the sit-in protesting against Turkish occupation's threats on north and east of Syria noting that the protesters assert that the threats of the Turkish occupation will not undermine their will and unity.

The Turkish state is still escalating its threats to invade north and east areas of Syria, the people of the area have asserted they would join hands together against Turkish occupation and make human shields on the border between Bakur, Rojava in Kurdistan, Tirbespiyê, Girê Spî, Kobani and al-Hasakah.

A member of the Preparatory Committee for the sit-in in Kobani canton, Ahmed Sheikho talked about the activity of the sit-in, which entered on its 10th day, and said: " the sit-in has been still ongoing since 10 days in Qeremox village in Kobani canton, the sit-in tent witnessed an intensive turnout of the people from all the components."

He noted that representatives of all civil society institutions, service institutions, Kongra Star, Democratic Autonomous Administration and Democratic Society Movement (TEV-DEM) participated in the daily rotation of the sit-in as well as visiting delegations from all components and from all towns and areas of the Euphrates region.

Sheikho stressed that the protesters stressed during the sit-in to the world public opinion that the Turkish occupation state's threats will not undermine their will, strength and unity, and the protesters send their message to the international community and the world states despite all difficulties they have faced.

He also added "the protestors stressed during their sit-in that the threats of the Turkish state will not distance them from their land and will not be able to separate them from the democratic nation's project and their cause, and that all the components have united and called with common voice that they are determined on coexistence and brotherhood of the people and no power can separate them from each other.

Kobani canton's people are still going on their sit-in for the 10th  day, despite rain and cold to prove to the whole world and the Turkish occupation that their threats will not undermine the principles of co-existence and brotherhood of peoples.
