Shelling between regime and mercenary gangs in Russian-Turkish truce zones

The Russian-Turkish Truce Demilitarized Zone has witnessed further violations, with the sites of the regime targeting the positions of mercenary gangs in north countryside of Hama, in response to the mercenaries' violations.

The Syrian news agency SANA reported that "units of the Syrian army directed grenades focused on movements and sites that barred terrorist gangs in north countryside of Hama in response to the violations of the demilitarized zone agreement in Idlib."

The agency added that an army unit stationed in the vicinity of the village of Bredig Breef Mahdah the northern terrorist groups suffered loss of personnel and equipment after the implementation of artillery fire at the sites of these terrorist groups in the vicinity of the village of Tal Hawash. And the terrorist attacks of the terrorist "Nasra Front" and its associated groups in the vicinity of the towns of Tal Hawash and Genaba in the northern suburbs of Hama, where the army units dealt with heavy machine guns and killed terrorists.

On 17 September, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan reached an agreement to form a demilitarized zone at a depth of 15-20 km, including parts of the governorates of Aleppo, Hama, Lattakia and Idlib.

According to the text of the agreement was the Turkish occupation to withdraw heavy weapons from the mercenary groups there until October 10 followed by the withdrawal of mercenaries from there until the 15 of the same month, but Turkey did not implement the terms of the agreement.
