Girê Spî sheikhs confirmed their support to SDF

The Public Relations Office of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in coordination with Girê Spî Canton's Council met with the elders and sheikhs of the canton to discuss the political developments and formed three committees to hold meetings with the families about the recent political and military developments.

The Public Relations Office of the Syrian Democratic Forces, in coordination with Girê Spî Canton's Council, held on Tuesday a meeting of tribal elders and sheikhs to explain the latest political developments in the region.

The deputy head of the joint presidency of the Autonomous Administration in northern and eastern Syria Hamdan al-Abed and the administrator in the office of Public Relations of the Syrian Democratic Forces Kani Kobanî delivered a speech on the latest developments on the Syrian arena, politically and militarily.

On the decision of the US withdrawal from Syria, Kani Kobanî and Hamdan al-Abed confirmed that it would not make any difference in the face of terrorism and that the people of the region are the owners of the land and will not abandon it.

They referred to the suffering of the people of Afrin which was occupied by Turkey on 18 March, and said that Turkey had committed massacres against its people and that its gangs had looted the property of civilians who are suffering now in al-Shahba camps.

They stressed that the goal of the Turkish state is to occupy the Syrian territory and displace its people, not to serve them.

The elders who attended the meeting confirmed their attachment to their land which was liberated thanks to the blood of their martyrs and explained that they would stand in the same trench with SDF.
