The women's role was completely abolished during the IS occupation. But after the liberation of the city and its countryside, women began to play their leading role and started organizing themselves and solving their problems by themselves. Where a Women Council has been established in al-Kasrat in the southern countryside of al-Raqqa

The Council has many committees, including the Reconciliation Committee, which deals with matters related to women's issues. The committee has resolved 70 women's issues

The Reconciliation Committee in al-Kasrat area consisting of 7 female members, who have experience in solving family and social issues. Five villages affiliated to the council: Kasra Faraj, Kasra Afnan, Kasra Sheikh Jumma, Hawija al- Zahra and al- Sahel.

The Committee has received 92 cases. It has managed to resolve 70 cases by mutual consent, seeking in every case to understand the case and follow up its chapters in order to resolve the issue in a friendly and appropriate manner.

In this regard, member of the Reconciliation Committee, Maryam al-Ali, pointed out that the Reconciliation Committee is one of the most important committees that work to safeguard the women's rights.

Maryam al-Ali said" on the intractable issues, there are some issues that are not resolved in the committee. Therefor the case file will be transferred to the council for the necessary action."
