Hamo Muskafian: Turkey creates instability, International Coalition must take decisive attitude

Hawar news agency (ANHA) interviewed with representative of World Armenian Congress, Hamo Muskifian, assessing the Turkish threats to northeastern Syria and he has confirmed that the agents who committed the massacres in Syria and Iraq went freely to Turkey and then to Europe and hit the stability there.

The following is the text of the interview:

- What is the goal of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan from the threat of attack on the north-east of Syria, which inhabited several peoples, including Kurds, Arabs, Armenians, Syriacs and Assyrians?

Erdogan calls himself the new Sultan of the Ottoman Empire after Sultan Abdul Hamid, whose name is associated with several massacres against the peoples of this area in that period, including 300 thousand Armenians in 1896 – 1897. He sees North Syria and the Syrian territories in general as Ottoman lands taken from the Ottomans after losing the First World War, He believes that the time has come under the pretext of fighting the Kurds, Armenians, Syriac and Yezidis who fought together and are seen by Erdogan as terrorists. He considers us terrorists even though he himself is the terrorist, and seeks to threaten them and scare them with war to surrender to him or he will launch attacks on them as he did in Afrin, with the helping of his ally as Russian and Europe states. Erdogan believes that the time is right to occupy this area and annex it to Turkey.

- What parties have an interest in Turkey's attack on northeast Syria?

The parties that have an interest in the occupation of North Syria are Turkey's allies from some Arab countries that support the Muslim Brotherhood and have supported and provided them over the years with large funds to establish an Islamic state even though Islam is innocent of them, these countries are interested in Turkey's occupation of this area, and some countries that think superficially such as the Syrian regime, Russia and some Western states that believe that Erdogan will attack the region and occupy it and eliminate its people and then he would withdraw, knowing that Erdogan would launch attack to occupy the area and commit crimes against its people and stay in their land.

- The children of northeast Syria have been fighting against IS terrorism for 4 years, accompanied by the International Coalition, what is required of the coalition towards these forces, who fought IS on the ground amid these threats?

Unfortunately, the International Coalition is not clear in its objectives so far. What is required is a decision and imposing a no-fly zone over this region, which is considered the most democratic in the Arab world since the First World War, because I visited this area and I saw everything from ensuring the participation of all in administration and studying in their languages and the equality that existed among all the peoples of this area. The Alliance is required to take a serious stance on the part of expert Turkey by committing massacres either directly or through its mercenary gangs from the rest of the peoples. Everyone knows how Turkey used the mercenaries of the peoples of the area during the First World War to exterminate the people of the Christian religion and then had done the same thing against them.

- The areas occupied by Turkey in Syria from Jarablos, al-Bab, Azaz, Idlib and Afrin, witness a security chaos. So is Turkey a stabilizing factor in the area or a destabilizing factor?

Since the establishment of the Turkish Republic by the butcher Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, who exterminated our Armenian people and even today, Turkey is the basis of instability in the area, The European countries should be aware that thousands of Turkish agents who committed the massacres in the Middle East, especially Iraq and Syria, have fled to Germany, France and other European state, and we see that they have also struck stability in Europe and they commit acts of stealing, murdering, and looting.

- How do you assess the silence of the United Nations so far against the Turkish attacks on Jarablos and al-Bab and other areas of Syria?

The United Nations has always been silent about the massacres committed against the people, and after the massacres have been carried out, they only deliver statements, the only time the United Nations intervened was the 1950s during the Cuban missile crisis, then intervened to prevent a nuclear war, and if the UN is still keeping silent the genocide against the people would be increased.

- Armenians are among the peoples that suffered from the Ottoman Empire and its massacres. What is their position on the Turkish threats to northeastern Syria where the Armenians also exist?

The Armenians were the people who have tasted the massacres many times at the hands of Turkey and its mercenaries. According to the 1911 referendum, Turkey had 11 million people, including 4 million Armenians, but after the end of the World War I the number of Armenians was less than one million because Turkey killed as many as possible, and all thanks to the Kurdish people who saved many Armenians from genocide, Today, as we see in northern Syria, the Kurds, the Arabs, the Armenians, the Syriacs, the Assyrians, and the Yazidis live together, because I visited North Syria twice and met all the peoples there.

What is required of the peoples of the region is to stand together and unite the historic unity of the victory over Turkey, which has enslaved the peoples of the region for 400 years and now wants to regain control of the Middle East as well as Europe. Erdogan, who has relations with Kosovo, Albania and other countries, trains agents to implement his plans to build his empire, as Christians, Muslims and Zoroastrians, must be one hand in the face of Erdogan.
