Demo in Amouda condemned Turkish threats

QAMISHLO

Today, hundreds of Amouda people  participated  in a demonstration in which they expressed their rejection of the Turkish threats.

Before the start of the demonstration, the people gathered at the Women's Free Square carrying pictures of leader Abdullah Ocalan and the flags of the People's Protection Units, the Democratic Union Party and Kongra Star .

In the square, demonstrators held a minute of silence ,several speeches were delivered by the co-chair of Qamishlo Canton Council, Michel Suleiman Sheikhi, the co-chair of Amouda District Council Selwa Suliman and the commander in People Protection Units Jesor Amouda.

The speeches noted ,"The people must be ready face the occupation's threats, and Turkey's intervention in northern Syria is aimed at complicating the Syrian crisis and creating conflicts between the existing components, and therefore we have to rise up against the occupation."

The speeches condemned the attacks of the Turkish occupation army on the safe areas, and added, "Erdogan is afraid of recent victories thanks to the blood of our martyrs and the will of our fighters in the front lines, so he is threatening to attack areas of northern and eastern Syria to threaten the security and stability enjoyed by these areas."
