Mazloum Kobani: Our forces to respond strongly to Turkey if launched attack

The Commander-in-Chief of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), Mazloum Kobani, said that their forces would respond to any Turkish attack, noting that they would continue the diplomatic efforts to prevent any attack.

This came in an interview held by Reuters agency with the Commander-in-Chief of SDF Mazloum Kobani, where he stressed that their troops would respond to Turkey in the event of launching any attack.

Mazloum Kobani warned that the Turkish attack will disrupt SDF fighters who are fighting IS' remnants currently in the east of Syria which will allow the extremist militants to be redeployed again.

Regarding the Turkish threats to attack northern and eastern Syria, Mazloum Kobani said, "We are fully ready for any attack and we will respond strongly within our areas. To this moment, our diplomatic efforts continue to deter this attack on our areas."

On the fight against terrorism, Mazloum Kobani said that there are five thousand IS' mercenaries in Hajin town and its surroundings, including two thousand foreign fighters, mostly Arabs and Europeans with their families.
