Rojhat ... Commander of Resistance of Age

When the enemy began to attack Afrin, and the sounds of battles began to rise day after day, there were not many options, the only choice was to stand firm and strong, and to resist the attacks. For Rojhat, the desired day had come, and he could then fight the enemy face to face on the battlefield.

He was joyful as children, his weapon did not abandon him, and his cigarettes pack inside his pocket accompanied him wherever he went.

Rojhat was a member of a group that had been prepared to fight the fascist mercenaries. The advent of the opportunity to take revenge on them was a joy for him. One idea and one conviction were in his mind which were to defeat the enemy in Afrin and get closer to liberating the leader and his people.

The Resistance of the Age has its heroes!

It is true that it has not been decided yet whether history makes the heroes or the heroes make history, but it is clear to everyone here that the heroes are the ones who write and make the modern history for Kurdistan.

If we think deeply about the historical and social reality in Kurdistan, we will be able to emphasize that those who made the history are great heroes on this land.

The Resistance of the Age shows this fact clearly. Although the strength, the military equipment and the sophisticated weapons used by the Turks which made the balance of powers in that battle unequal, many heroes emerged and wrote their names on the pages of history with gold letters.

  Between 20 January and 18 March, 2018, a battle of great will took place on the territory of Afrin canton. This battle that was called "The Resistance of the Age" created many heroes such as Avista Khabor, Carker Botan, Shiyar Amanos, Barin Kobani, Rojhat and others hundreds. Rojhat was one of them and one of those who would not be forgotten.

The struggle's journey began at critical times

The peoples consider those who have fought in the most difficult times to lift the injustice on them as heroes who wrote their names in the history because those people are the ones who give freedom and turn backward into progress and development. Rojhat was one of those we talked about.

When the enemy intensified its attacks on Kurdistan, Rojhat Rojhilat joined the Kurdistan Liberation Movement and decided to engage the Mountains Resistance.

The Turkish fascist state began in the period between 2008 and 2009 a vast campaign through which it wanted to eliminate the Guerilla Forces and the Kurdistan Liberation Movement in general. At that time, the Chief of Staff of the Turkish army Elkr Bash Bug said that they would prevent the movement of joining Guerilla Forces that are fighting inside Turkey battles against the army, and they would later eliminate those who are in the mountains (the Guerilla).

But that policy was received with a firm response and a strong rejection by the people of Kurdistan as thousands of young Kurds came to participate in the Mountains Resistance, and Rojhat was one of them.

Joining Rojava Revolution

After a few years passed on him searching for freedom, Rojava Revolution (West Kurdistan) erupted, and Rojhat headed towards Rojava to participate in the revolution with a lot of hope and a heart full of national passion for freedom.

As he joined the revolution in Rojva, Rojhat took a place on several fronts. He resisted in difficult squares and places. He fought in many battles until he got injured in one of them, while he did not stop and decided to continue the struggle with greater strength and will.

During his presence in the areas of Aleppo and Afrin, Rojhat contributed to establish military units to participate in the frontal fronts' lines in case battles would erupt, and then went to al-Jazeera region where he was injured again when battles broke out against the mercenaries there.

After he got wounded, he took up a position within Asayîş Forces (the Internal Security Forces). He contributed to form the Special Asayîş Forces (HAT) in Dêrik of Qamishlo. After working for long periods within Serê Kanîyê and Qamishlo Asayîş, he went back to Afrin where in 2017 and stayed there for a period in the ranks of Asayîş Forces until he took over the command of the Asayîş Special Forces after his comrade Rojhat Afrin left Afrin and even his martyrdom.

His courage and smile consolidated in everyone's imagination

On the 8th day of the Resistance of the Age, Rojhat Rojhilat was accompanied by his comrade Rojhat Afrin and they headed towards Bulbul district in Afrin canton to meet their comrades who were stationed there, but a group of their comrades were attacked in the road. Rojhat and his comrades rushed to triumph them, but he was martyred with 8 of his comrades in a village near Bulbul distirct's center after being targeted by a raid carried out by the occupation's warplanes.

Rojhat opened his eyes on life in a village called Najhana of Salmas city in East Kurdistan. He grew up in a laborious family that was consisted of five children in addition to his mother Aisha and his father Kamal.

Rojhat joined the Kurdistan Liberation Movement in 2008 and was martyred on the 8th day of the Resistance of the Age, leaving for himself a special position among the strugglers of the Resistance of the Age because of his strong will.

Rojhat left behind many people to follow him. When he was being talked about, every person kept a memory for themselves remained by Rojhat. This hero played a very important role in the Resistance of the Age against the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries. Finally, he kept his memory immortal in the imagination of everybody who accompanied him ... Is not that enough to become a means of revenge and escalation of the struggle in Afrin?
