Officials in MSD: Turkish threats to obstruct fighting terrorism

The speech of the co-chair of the Syrian Democratic Council (MSD) Amina Omer and the member of the Presidential Body of MSD Ilham Omer came at separate meetings held by the Council in ed-Dirbasiya district of al-Hasakah canton, and the two towns of al-Heisha and al-Ali Bajleh in Ain Issa district in Girê Spî / Tel Abyed about the last developments in the area and to explain the system of MSD and its objectives and actions to resolve the Syrian crisis.

The meeting was held in MSD Office in ed-Dirbasiya district in the presence of dozens of the communes' heads of the district and its villages.

The aim of the threats of the Turkish occupation is to undermine the democratic nation's project in the area. Erdogan's recent threats are not the first threats," said the co-chair of MSD Amina Omer.

Amina pointed out that Erdogan aims through his attacks to undermine the security and stability of the area and the co-existence among the components of the north and east of Syria, and she called on the people to be prepared for any attacks on the areas of northern and eastern Syria.

Amina stressed that Erdogan's threats aim to prolong IS' life and obstacle the fight against terrorism, especially after the victories achieved by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in Hajin area whose liberation has been imminent.

Amina Omer also explained the works of MSD and said, "The Syrian Democratic Council aims through its works and meetings to find a solution to the Syrian crisis."

He said, "As MSD, we worked on drafting a new constitutional system for Syria and reached our ideas and actions to the countries that are interested in the Syrian affairs. Since a year, we have been working on a new constitution draft and we have prepared a basis for it through the Syrian-Syrian dialogue held in Ain Issa town. It has been agreed on to hold a meeting on the Syrian constitution matter and call on all the opposition and political parties to it."

The member of the Presidential Body of MSD and the administrator in the Woman Bureau Ilahm Omer participated in the two meetings held on Thursday by the Woman Bureau of MSD for the teachers in al-Heisha and al-Ali Bajleh towns in Ain Issa district to explain the latest developments and introduce the rules of procedure of MSD.

Ilham Omer touched upon the Turkish threats and said, "Erdogan, with his recent hostile threats to the eastern areas of the Euphrates, is trying to give a longer life to IS in their last stronghold in Hajin town after SDF liberated 50 percent of it as he wants to distract SDF to protect the border as he has recently done when he bombed the border areas of the Syrian north."

Ilham stressed that SDF will defend the northern regions of Syria against any aggression and will not allow any party to approach our areas liberated by the martyrs with their pure blood.

Ilham Omer explained the mechanism of the organizational structure of the Syrian Democratic Council, and pointed out that the Council always seeks to resolve the Syrian crisis through the political solution. She added, "The best example of this is its response to the call of the regime to form service relations and its sponsorship of the Syrian-Syrian dialogue which included 120 personalities from political parties and movements to unify the views of the opposition and put forward the basis to resolve the Syrian crisis."

The member of the Women Bureau of the Syrian Democratic Council Mona al-Issa read the rules of procedure of the Council and opened the way for inquiries held by the attendees.
