'Our activity is continuation of resistance shown by Laila Cuven'

During the hunger strike organized by Kongra Star with the participation of 30 women under the slogan "We will make life from the resistance, and destroy Imrali prison" to support the co-chair of the Democratic Society Conference and the parliamentarian in the Democratic Peoples' Party in Julêmêrk city in Bakur Kurdistan Laila Cuven, and to rise the isolation imposed on the leader of the Kurdish people Abdullah Ocalan, many of the hunger strikers pointed out that their activities are continuation of the resistance of Leila Cuven in the Turkish state's prison.

"We started a hunger strike, in solidarity with Laila Cuven and to lift the severe isolation of the leader in Imrali prison. The Kurdish people have one pain. That is why we will continue our activities, which are a continuation of the resistance that Laila Cuven has shown in the prison," Fatima Mohammed said.

Fatima appealed to all women to participate in this event and unified with each other in front of the schemes that are being waged against the Kurdish people wherever they are and to put pressure on the international countries to release Ocalan.

In turn, Fayza Khalil one of the strikers, said "from the neighborhood of resistance we support Laila Cuven, the hunger striker in the prison of the fascist Turkey "We are renewing our pledge to Ocalan, who is resisting in Imrali for all the peoples of the Middle East,"

The citizen Siham Sheikho called on all humanitarian organizations to immediately intervene to stop the Turkish aggression on the region and stop the arbitrary policy it is waging against political prisoners. She said "Our presence today emphasizes the adherence to women's freedom and the freedom of the leader."
