During the Syrian crisis and the IS occupation of many areas, the people suffered as a result of these practices, inside each house there is a tragic story, and Huda al-Hasan is a tragedy of thousands of stories in Deir ez-Zor.

Huda al-Hasan, 18 years old, from the village of al-Sa’awa in the countryside of Deir ez-Zor, where her family consists of ten persons, she has lost her eye due to an explosion near their home, and due to the lack of doctors and medical staff as a result of IS' practices, her suffer increased to reach to a deformity in her face to remain a victim of the mercenaries who had wreaked havoc in every area they had occupied.

She said "I was sitting with my family, and suddenly we heard a sound of an explosion close to our house. I ran outside to see what happened, but I could not see anything but the dust, while I heard the voices of the residents. They tell me that I lost my eyes as a result of shrapnel entered inside my eye. "

She added "During IS occupation of the area, they had prevented the medical staff from working, and the residents were also prevented from going to areas where treatment was available. So I stayed in this situation with a deformity in my eye to remain a victim of the mercenaries throughout my life.

In this regard, Huda appealed to the organizations to look into her situation and help her to overcome her ordeal.

Her sister Ferial al-Hasan said in this context: "IS mercenaries who occupied the area have been devastated in the area. They have deprived the people of their normal lives and deprived them of their rights to life. My sister Huda is one of the thousands of the suffering stories that the people had faced."
