What Arab newspapers touched upon regarding Syrian file

The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) continue advancing in the last strongholds of IS mercenaries, east of the Euphrates River after they have liberated several neighborhoods in Hajin town, while Washington and its Western allies have been talking about a strategic patience and they are referring to taking five procedures to put pressure on Moscow, Damascus and Tehran.

The Arab newspapers issued on Friday morning touched upon the progress of SDF in the last strongholds of IS mercenaries, and the US' reference to a strategic patience.

Al-Hayat: SDF advance inside Hajin town

In the Syrian file, al-Hayat newspaper touched upon SDF's advance in the last strongholds of IS, east of the Euphrates River and said, "With an American support, SDF achieved on Thursday an advance inside Hajin town, one of the most prominent towns within the last strongholds controlled by IS mercenaries, east of the country according to one of their commanders."

The commander in the ranks of SDF Redor Khalil said, "Violence battles are ongoing inside Hajin after our forces advanced and have become dominating some of its neighborhoods, adding that the military operations are ongoing at a high pace."

SDF managed to open save corridors and liberate more than 1,000 civilians most of them were women and children from Hajin during the last days according to Redor Khalil who accused IS of using the civilians as human shields, stressing that the opening of the corridors will continue.

The director of the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights Rami Abdul Rahman confirmed the advance of SDF inside the town after launching a violent attack two days ago, pointing out that dozens of families managed to displace in stages.

Al-Sharq al-Awsat: Washington looms to a strategic patience in Syria… Moscow buys time to change the reality

In another context, al-Sharq al-Awsat newspaper said, "Washington refers to take alternative options including diplomatic and military actions supported by a strategic patience in case Moscow fails to fulfill its commitments to form the Syrian Constitutional Committee before the end of this year. In exchange, Moscow is adopting the option of buying time and imposing incidents on the land during the US patience."

Washington and its Western allies have been talking about a strategic patience and taking five measures to put pressure on Moscow, Damascus and Tehran.

First, they include the military presence in eastern Syria and strengthening this presence by deploying diplomats, training local forces and financing the stability.

Second, linking the reconstruction in Syria with the political transition and achieving a credible political solution.

Third, the lack of a political recognition of the government-regime in Damascus.

Fourth, Washington will continue imposing sanctions on Syrian institutions and figures close to the regime.

Fifth, opening the file of accountability through supporting civil and international institutions working in this context.

Al-Quds al-Arabi: The United Nations (UN) calls on avoiding the escalation in Idlib of Syria at any cost

On the situation in Idlib, al-Quds al-Arabi newspaper said, "On Thursday, the UN called for avoiding the escalation in Idlib governorate, north-west of Syria according to what the spokesman of the General Secretary of the United Nations Stephane Dujarric stated in a press conference held in UN headquarters in New York."

Dujarric said, "The UN remains deeply concerned towards the continuation of the reports about casualties and displacement of civilians in Idlib governorate, northwestern Syria after the ongoing hostilities and shelling in the area."

Dujarric continued, "On Thursday, the bombardment continued on several areas south of Idlib, and that resulted in wounding civilians in Khan Sheikhon and displacing many people temporarily."
