The authorities of Başûr Kurdistan closed the headquarters of the Kurdistan Freedom Movement in Başûr, on the pretext that it did not obtain an official political work permit from the Ministry of Interior in the region, despite the fact that the movement submitted legal procedures to the authorities of the region since 2014, and obtained a license from the Iraqi government last year.

On this subject, the administrator of the Democratic Union Party(PYD) in Tirbespiyê Hussein Khalid, told ANHA news agency and said,

The decision to close the political offices comes at a time when the Kurdish people hoped the unity of ranks, and the convening of the Kurdish National Congress, and this decision was disappointing and does not serve the efforts to unite the Kurdish rank

Khalid pointed out that the Turkish occupation is seeking various means to strike at the unity of the Kurdish class, adding: "Turkey's attacks on Afrin and the territory of Başûr Kurdistan and its position from Kirkuk comes within those plots, and such decisions serve the Turkish schemes.

Khalid wondered: Why was not the Kurdish political organization approved by Başûr government, while the government of Baghdad did?

For his part, the head of the Democratic Kurdish Roj Party in Syria, Kovan Kanao noted that the regional countries in the Middle East are doing all they can to extend their influence in the region, so Başûr Kurdistan government must not allow any external interference to divide the Kurdish class.

Kanou said that the Kurdish people have a historic opportunity to achieve the hopes and aspirations of the Kurdish people, "but such decisions undermine all efforts towards unity of the Kurdish rank and the holding of the National Congress. kurdish

Kanao called for the Kurdish parties to unite the Kurdish class and move towards the convening of the National Congress of Kurdistan to stand against any decision or object aimed at ruining the unity of the Kurdish people.
