Under the motto "Towards a Future without Violence", the Women's Office of the Future Party (FSP) organized today activities to combat violence against women, including a discussion forum, poetry evening and art exhibition.

AL-RAQQA

The event was attended by representatives of the Future Syria Party, the Women's Council in al-Raqqa, a number of al-Raqqa women and members of civil institutions, as well as male and female guests from al-Jazeera and Kobanî regions.

The hall is adorned with many paintings that reflect the heritage of al-Raqqa and the reality of al-Raqqa's women.

After holding  a minute of silence, The Secretary-General of the Future Syria Party, Havrin al-Khalaf, spoke about the meaning and forms of violence against women and its causes, pointing out how the Women's Office of the Future Party of Syria is seeking to combat violence against women in al-Raqqa and Syria in full.

Then the door was opened for discussion on violence against women and dialogue with the audience on how to combat forms of violence.

Then a number of poets participated in the event reading some poems calling for women's freedom and calls for combating all forms of violence against women. The poems focused on the suffering and violence faced by women in al-Raqqa previously and Afrin at the present time by the Turkish occupation and mercenaries.

The event ended with a song performed by Yassin Mohammed, who sang about al-Raqqa city.
