The Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) authorities prevented the entry of members of the Kurdish delegations heading from South Kurdistan to Rojava to participate in the International Forum on Ethnic Cleansing and Demographic Change in Afrin.

Delegates from Dohuk, al-Suleimaniah and Halabja traveled to Rojava on Saturday to participate in the International Forum on the Ethnic Cleansing and Demographic Change in Afrin which will take place on Sunday in Amuda.

But the authorities of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) controlling the crossing border of Fesh Khabur did not allow the delegation that is consisted of six academicians to go to Rojava without any legal argument, according to Roj news.

A source close to the delegation told Roj news that after waiting for 6 hours at the crossing border to prepare for the entry to Rojava, the decision of the administration of the crossing border was not to allow the delegation to enter without any argument.

The members of the delegation who were prevented from entering Rojava were Dr. Hawjin Mulla Amin, Dr. Kamiran Barwari, the attorney Saroush Halabji, the writer and the journalist Aso Abdel Latif Halabja, Samko Saber Shari and Dr. Hashim Zebari.

The activities of the International Forum on Ethnic Cleansing and Demographic Change in the occupied Afrin by Turkey and its mercenaries was launched on Sunday by the center of Rojava for the Strategic Studies with the attendance of hundreds of local, regional and international political figures and dozens of civil society institutions.

It is scheduled that the Forum will last for three days, and several sessions on the political, military, legal, cultural and historical aspects of Ethnic Cleansing and Demographic Change in Afrin will be held.
