PYD conference fruited in resolutions; 10 administrators elected

Under the slogan "With determination and organization, we will free Afrin and build a decentralized democratic Syria." This morning, the second conference of the Democratic Union Party, "Aleppo Organization", took place in the city of Aleppo with the participation of 260 delegates. The conference concluded with a number of resolutions, after discussing the political and organizational situation and the participation of delegates in the discussions.

At the conference, the opening speech of the conference was delivered by the member of the Executive Committee of the Democratic Union Party Manal Mohammed, who at the outset congratulated the people of Aleppo and the participants in the conference. She also commemorated the martyr Shilan Kobani and her comrades. "All the foreign plots were aimed at standing against the freedom and activity of the Democratic Union Party "He said.

“We extend our hand to all the parties in Syria in order to formulate a solution to the Syrian crisis and to preserve the unity of Syrian territory, rejecting the policy of division,” Manal said appealing of their party’s role in northern and eastern Syria areas.

Manal congratulated the political parties and civil institutions, the Democratic Union Party, on its second conference, congratulatory telegrams were sent to the party by the Joint Presidency of the General Council of the Democratic Union Party, Future Syria Party, Popular Will Party, Patriotic National Democratic Alliance, Kongra Star, Democratic Society Movement, the Kurdish Democratic Unity Party in Syria) in addition various civil institutions in Sheikh Maksoud neighborhood.

All telegrams included wishes to come out with important decisions aimed at reaching a free democratic society.

Extensive discussions on the mechanism of the party's work on both the political and organizational sides were held.

Then a bureau was formed and included five members of the party. This was followed by reading the reports of the party's work from the political and organizational side as well as the report on the work of women within the party. The reports included self-criticism and emphasized wider action after the conference and the expansion of the framework.

Most of the discussions focused on political changes and developments in the Middle East and attempts to change the map of the Middle East by world powers.

From the organizational side, the party members presented their self-criticism in organizing the work more and avoiding the mistakes that were made, in order to make the party's project succeed, namely, realizing the principle of brotherhood of the people.

A number of the important resolutions of the conference:

During the conference and after the discussions, a number of decisions were taken to work during the next phase to develop the party's work, as follows:

1 – To continue the organizational campaign and our main goal os to liberate Afrin and lift the isolation imposed on the leader Abdullah Ocalan.

2- To expand the party's organizational structure, intensifying party activity and increasing members among all components in the neighborhood and other neighborhoods.

3 - To strengthen the organizational structure within the institutions and the development of the work of party offices.

4- To upgrade the ideological and organizational level of members through training and rehabilitation of party cadres.

5 – To work to develop and organize the role of women within the party.

6 – To work to develop the work and youth activity through increasing members and focusing on self-training.

7- To develop media work at all levels.

8- To work and communicate with the Office of Relations with all political parties and social groups.

9 –To work on the development of the Committee on Women's Relations within the party more broadly.

10 –To seek to strengthen Kurdish unity and strengthen relations with the Kurdish parties.

11 – To protect the gains of north and east of Syria and strengthen the organization.

12- To build protection and strengthen the popular protection forces.

13 – To cooperate with intellectuals and institutions in order to establish a library for the books of the leader.

14- To support and back economic projects in general.

Election of 10 administrators for PYD in Aleppo

In Aleppo, administrators were selected through an electoral process, which was carried out by the participants in the conference to work in the following offices (Information, Training, Relations, Finance and Youth), in addition to the co-chair, which will be announced later in a meeting among the elected administrators.

The 10 administrators also took the oath to everyone to perform the work with the utmost honesty and sincerity and to follow the line of strugglers.

The second conference ended with the audience congratulating the elected members and the slogans calling for the freedom of Abdullah Ocalan and the liberation of Afrin.
