Construction and Progress’ final communiqué issued, revealing main findings

"The Syrian-Syrian Dialogue: Construction and Progress" concluded on Thursday evening with the issuance of a final statement "The political solution is the correct and sound approach that ensures the participation of all Syrians and not excluding in the constitutional committee and the political process. The occupation of Syria, and the independence of the will of the Syrians to determine their fate."

After two days of discussions on several axes, the Syrian-Syrian Dialogue: Construction and Progress, held in the town of Ain Issa of Tal Abyad district, led to the issuance of the final statement of the dialogue, which was read by the Syrian writer, politician and member of the Revolutionary Leftist Movement in Syria Ghayth Naissa, in which he said:

"At the invitation of the Syrian Democratic Council, a number of Syrian national democratic opposition forces, independent parties, personalities and civil society activists met in Ain Issa town on 28/29 November 2018, the second meeting entitled “Intra-Syrian Dialogue: Construction and Progress " where the participants discussed essential issues that concern all Syrians and their future as well as humanitarian ones which included: The humanitarian issue in the Syrian crisis, the form of governance in democratic decentralization in the model of democratic self-management, the economic issue and its optimal form for future Syria, the Syrian constitution and its basic principles, the reality of women, International conventions and Syrian legislation, and the mechanisms of uniting the Syrian secular democratic opposition.

The meeting concluded that the political solution is the correct and sound approach that ensures the participation of all Syrians and avoids any exclusion by the constitutional committee and the political process, and the struggle against tyranny, the fight against all forms of extremism, the withdrawal of the occupation forces from Syria and the independence of the Syrian will to self-determination. With the need for international organizations and human rights institutions, led by the United Nations tasks to end the crisis and achieve peace in Syria and support stability.

The participants called for the formation of a follow-up committee whose mission is to continue these meetings and proceed with the Syrian-Syrian dialogue process with a view to holding a comprehensive Syrian conference in which the circle of participation will be expanded to all the Syrians and continue to confront terrorism and discuss the issue of occupation and foreign military presence.

In order to achieve meaningful understanding, the audience invited the representatives of the authority, the opposition and civil society to open up to dialogue and effective negotiation, because we believe that the political solution is among the Syrians with a framework of responsibility, seriousness and open-mindedness.
