People of Sheikh Maqsoud "No For Violence Against Women, Freedom For Leader Ocalan"

Dozens of residents of Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood of Aleppo condemned the violence against women and called for the freedom of Kurdish leader Abdullah Ocalan as part of the World Day for Combating Violence against Women activities.

Under the motto of "Women rise up for Afrin", "We Pledge to Break Imrali's Restrictions and Live Free with Ocalan." Kongra Star in Aleppo organized a demonstration on the occasion of World Day for Combating Violence against Women in Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood.

The demonstration was attended by dozens of residents of the neighborhood, members of political parties and the Syria's Democratic Council(MSD).

The participants gathered at Adar 8th Street carrying banners reading "Stop the Violence Against Women," as well as pictures of leader of the Kurdish people, Abdullah Ocalan, fighters of Rojava Revolution and the three sisters Mirabal photos.

The demonstration took place on the main streets of Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood amid the cheers of the participants in Arabic and Kurdish.

"Women are Life, Do not Kill Life, No life Without Women, Freedom for the Leader Ocalan."

When they reached Struggler Dastina Roundabout, demonstrators held a minute of silence, and the administrator of Kongra Star in Aleppo, Nahla Mustafa, delivered a speech in which she pointed out that history has made clear the prominent role played by women in the progress of society, for this reason, women were the goal to reduce and hit the will of a society.

Nahla said that the opponents of the existence of the Kurdish people wanted to break the will of the Kurds by targeting Kurdish figures such as activist Sakina Jansez and her companions, but the woman responded to those conspiracies through the struggle of fighters Avista Khabour, Barin Kobanî, Arîn Mirkan.

And on behalf of Future Party Syria of Aleppo branch, deputy head of the Organizing Women Office Sabiha Afasha, stressed the importance of the role of women in all areas of life, and what women have provided during years of achievements at all levels.
