The residents of Afrin lodged complaints to the European Court about the Turkish violations against the residents of Afrin; looting properties, kidnapping, murdering and torturing due to their forcible departure from Afrin because of the Turkish aggression on Afrin. The European Court responded to the complaints of the residents saying, "The complaints must be lodged to the Turkish courts first."

The head of the Syrian Democratic National Alliance Mahmoud Hamdak spoke to ANHA agency and touched on the response of the European Court to the complaints of the residents of Afrin, describing it as "inappropriate".

Hamdak said at the beginning of his speech, "The participation of the mercenary factions with the Turkish occupation army in the attack on Afrin came after the promise of the Turkish occupation army to the mercenary factions to give them gains, and give them the validity to steal the entire Afrin. We saw how Afrin was stolen on the first day of the occupation. The aim is the demographic change."

He added, "From the beginning, the specialists and the media outlets have worked at the request of the European Court to document the Turkish crimes of looting and murdering, but when evidence of the violations was presented by the European jurists, the court let us down... We did not expect it to stand with the Turkish occupation state in this regard while the violations are committed daily in Syria in general and Afrin in particular. This step does not suit the Europeans."

On another subject, Hamdak said that Turkey is the main supporter of the mercenary groups in Syria. He added, "We must note that Turkey was forced to accept the classification of Hayet Tahrir al-Sham as one of the terrorist groups, but implicitly, Turkey is the main supporter of Hayet Tahrir al-Sham in Idlib and IS in Deir ez-Zor."

Hamdak said, "Sochi meeting gave Turkey a deadline to dismantle Hayet Tahrir al-Sham, but Turkey has not been able to dismantle that group yet... Turkey is trying to turn away the world's attention from Idlib by threatening to occupy Manbij.

Hamdak said at the end of his speech that the lack of presence of the Syrian Democratic Council (SDC) in the meetings and talks held to solve the Syrian crisis leads to failure. They are not feasible due to the absence of SDC. The constitution which will be put by the foreign countries will not serve the Syrian people. The Syrian people themselves have to establish a constitution for their country."
