Başûr people enter in Hunger Strike till obtaining information about Ocelan's status

The Turkish state has been imposing an intensive isolation on the leader of the Kurdish people Abdullah Ocalan since July 27, 2011, , And his family and his lawyer have been prevented meeting him in Imrali prison since March 2015, where popular, social and political circles in parts of Kurdistan and world 's states have expressed their resentment against this Isolation .

In the context of the reactions announced the co-chair of the Conference of Democratic and Parliamentary Society of the Democratic People Party HPD in Jlumark Leyla Guven a hunger strike on November 7 in Bakur of Kurdistan.

The effectiveness of Leyla Guvan  received a wide response in the Bakur Kurdistan and many of the people participated in the hunger strike.

On 21 October, the representative of the Democratic People Party in Hewler city in Başûrê Kurdistan announced its solidarity with the effectiveness of Leyla Guvan demanding the lifting of the isolation of Ocalan, and the representative announced organization of the hunger strike.

Members of the Democratic People Party on hunger strike spoke to (ANHA)about the purpose of the event and confirmed that they would continue of the event until obtaining information about Ocalan's security and safety.

'We will not be silent anymore'

Representative of the Peoples Democratic Party, Nasser Yagiz said that the isolation imposed on Ocalan is at the same time an isolation imposed on all peoples. "The aim of the hunger strike is to demand to lifting of the isolation imposed on leader Ocelan , as well as supporting the effectiveness of Leyla Guvan,The mindset of the hostile occupation of the Kurdish people is a continuation of the international conspiracy that imposed on the leader Ocelan. The conspiracy is continuing by the occupiers so far, through this event we will reveal our position to the enemies. We will not be silent anymore

'We will continue the effectiveness until we get information about the conditions of leader Ocelan'

Representative of the People's Democratic Party Mohammad Sharif Suu-ar, who has also joined to the hunger strike, said of Kurdish leader Abdullah Ocelan being isolated for 20 years. "The isolation imposed on the leader Ocelan exceeded what Nelson Mandela was exposed to, And World s' States encourage Turkey to continue to impose isolation, by remaining silent on these practices. All the occupied countries seek to eliminate the Kurdish people The isolation imposed on Ocelan aims to eliminate the struggle of the Kurdish people. The whole world knows that leader Ocelan is only physically detained, and that his approach and ideas have spread all over the world. The isolation imposed on Ocalan is contrary to all humanitarian norms and laws. The isolation of  the leader Ocelan must be lifted. For our part, we will continue this activity till obtaining information about the status of the leader Abdullah Ocelan .
